Boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects in a photographic studio, bedroom or private dressing room environment, primarily intended for the private enjoyment of the subject and his or her romantic partners.
It is distinct from glamour and art nude photography in that it is usually more suggestive rather than explicit in its approach to nudity and sexuality, features subjects who do not regularly model, and produces images that are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain under the control of the subject.
OK now that we have that out of the way – here is my REAL take on boudoir photography.
My Boudoir Photography Definition
I have not seen “boudoir photography” like mine anywhere. I tend to blend fashion with erotica and then mix in real life – as in that time you made love to your wife in the kitchen while she was at the sink in her panties and tee.
I like to meet with everyone and discuss what they want out of the session, then I get to mixing up something that suits their taste, blends my art and melds and exceeds your expectations.
The end result is sexy, implied, sometimes erotic, ALWAYS tasteful and ALWAYS an experience that leaves you wanting to do it all over again.
I am a male photographer – so know that going in. My staff is ALL FEMALE and they are present the entire time.
Each session comes with Hair and Makeup. Champagne or Wine – or Mimosas. We storyboard the entire session before we photograph so we kind of have a sense for what we are doing, where we are going. Sometimes the sessions are outdoors. Sometimes they are at the lake house. Sometimes we rent an AirBnB. We ALWAYS have fun.
