Crossing Paths In Life leads to marriage for two local Charlotteans

There’s a one in 285,000 chance of finding “the one.” But what happens when you find “the one” before they are “the one?” It sounds confusing but let’s have Will and Erin break it down for us.
How They Met
"Will was my professor in business school from 2012-2014. We were only friends back then but reconnected in the fall of 2017 and started dating in June of 2017."
This means they had the opportunity to cross paths and have a totally different relationship prior to their romantic one.
Erin: I thought Will was extremely smart, attractive and hilarious. He was by far my favorite professor. Something about him was very interesting to me but back then I had NO idea I would be engaged to this man half a decade later.
Will: My first impression of Erin was that she was beautiful, elegant and regal. I also remember she had a sly, sarcastic (“knowing”) smile that betrayed a wickedly funny and sarcastic (and inappropriate) sense of humor.
When They Knew
Erin: The first time I took Will home to meet my parents. They fell in love with him and he was immediately part of the family. He brought them chocolate yogurt pretzels (my favorite) and I kept leaving them alone to go inside and eat them. Because I knew they would be fine...and I wanted those pretzels.
Will: We had been arguing some and had a deep conversation early (4 am) on a Saturday morning, and I had to teach my MBA leadership class that day. When I came home from work she had left notes (a sort of scavenger hunt) outside and inside the house, and decorated the path I was supposed to follow with rose petals. I knew that took a lot for her to be creative and show that degree of vulnerability, and I remember thinking then that I wanted to spend my life with her.
Erin: I am the sneakiest person ever and I ALWAYS find out about presents, surprises, etc. But somehow Will managed to surprise the heck out of me for the proposal of a lifetime. So Will told me he was in NYC with his brother. And his story was so good. He sent me texts talking about all the activities they were doing there, etc. I really thought he was there. Meanwhile, I was in Charleston with my best girlfriend, Jess, for her bday. On June 30th, Jess and I head to High Cotton for dinner and as we are about to take a sip of our first martini, a cameraman and WILL show up and he kneels and asks me to marry him and the entire place starts clapping! Then he tells me to follow him and we go into the private event room where my family, 6 other best girlfriends, his family, and his friends are waiting for us followed by an open bar and an amazing dinner. It was truly the best night of my life.
Three Favorite Haunts Around Charlotte
Will’s house, Reid’s, Toscana, and Erin’s parents’ house (okay, we asked for three answers but we allowed a fourth because we’re softies for our clients).
Erin: Crazy Rich Asians

From Behind The Lens
We’ve said it before, we’ll say it a million more times…at Fusion, we love authenticity. Erin and Will had their engagement shoot at Queens University, where they first met. And there was no hiding all that love they share. What struck us as we went through all the images, was how these two looked to be both new and old flames. They radiate the sort of energy found in a budding romance but they also carry with them an ease that comes from truly knowing another person.
