Elopement is on the rise. Ya know all those articles about millennials ruining huge chains (like Buffalo Wild Wings)? Well, this trend is kind of like that. Now, to be clear, we aren't knocking this. Millennials are less likely to do something or utilize a service/good just because that's how it's always been done. Weddings are no exception. We all know weddings can be costly and more and more people are choosing to cut things way down. Cost isn't the only benefit to or reason for eloping, however. It's faster than putting together a more traditional wedding and it's low-key. But - and we cannot stress this enough - you're still going to want to capture the day! We want to be your wedding photographer, whether that wedding is traditional or an elopement.
Here's the thing - you can elope or approach your wedding with a minimalistic view (after all, the day is really about you two tying the knot - everything else is just icing on the wedding cake) and the day is going to still be unbelievably special. There isn't a one-size-fits-all for weddings. Maybe you're worried there won't be anything to really capture since wedding photos are heavy with the glam of the venue and bridal party. But while we do photograph all those details at a wedding, we can all agree that the real magic lies int he photos of the two love birds saying 'I Do' and an elopement still requires you to stand beside your partner and commit to a lifetime with them. That's worth a darn photo, ya'll.
And keep in mind, if you are trying to design a more minimal big day (it's big no matter how small the guest list or price tag), there are plenty of ways to stay within your design and your budget while still incorporating the elements that are important to you. Just so you know, we don't count the number of people on your guest list - big or small, we want to be your wedding photographer.
While we love the trappings of a wedding, let's be honest; you can do without the dress and suit, the cake, the DJ/band, the flowers, etc. But it is still one of the most important days of your life and you deserve to have those memories to hold in your hand.
