I waver between fear, skepticism, optimism, and conspiracy theory by the hour, but truthfully, the sad reality is that it IS spreading quickly and will continue to do so for a while - That is math, not prophecy. The spread can be slowed, public health professionals say, if people practice “social distancing” by avoiding public spaces and generally limiting their movement, so I am trying to resort to vigilance and doubling down - BUT I AM NOT SHUTTING DOWN.
There are a lot of unknowns, projections and fear-based media circulating. This is what is driving the hysteria around the world and why people are hoarding and stocking up - nobody really knows the truth. Stockpiling is not an uncommon reaction provoked by fear, social scientists say. Fear of running out. Fear of the unknown and what is to come.
No one really knows how many people will be ultimately infected, but it has caused the global stock markets to crash, which means business, as usual, will be affected.
So what can we do to help out?
Don’t exploit the situation for starters
Don’t make decisions based on fear or miss-information.
Connect with your loved ones
Go outside and read a book, mother nature’s touch can be transformational
Eat healthily, the fastest way to build your immunity is by eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
Don't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes

Stay positive every way you can. If this has taught us anything, it is that life itself and everything in it is impermanent. I will see you on the other side of everything.
And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed. ~Irene Vella
Remember this: A single person’s behavior can cause ripple effects that touch faraway people.
