Luxury wedding photography at Château Élan with LEAH & NIRMAL
In what was another reaffirming proof that less traditional approaches to wedding ceremonies are now, not just the new normal, but embodying every inch of what should be the ideal wedding as well, (who could’ve thought, not me, and def not you) we attended the wedding ceremony of our dear Leah and Nirmal.
We basked in the gracefulness of the occasion as well, covering every cheerful moment as it unfolded in pure, undiluted bliss. HOORAH!
Private and Intimate Weddings
Private and intimate weddings that are not COVID-induced. (duhhhh)
Leah and Nirmal’s wedding was not just another interesting wedding we were super-excited to photograph. It meant a whole lot more than that to us because it bore a lot of significance. Events like this are a photographer’s dream because they offer meaningful experiences that live with us for life.
Before Leah and Nirmal, I primarily photographed these types of weddings including destinations, so this was not something new for me
So yeah, when Leah and Nirmal told us that they wanted a very private and intimate wedding that didn’t have the largest people in attendance, but the oft-treasured presence of close friends and family, we could tell that this was going to be one for the ages. And boy did we cherish the opportunity to be part of that!
And what could be better than being offered a chance to record these jaw-droppingly awesome moments for this ravashing couple? — all the feels! (You know we’re about that life)
The Venue
WARNING: This might sound like something of an endorsement, but I KID YOU NOT when I say it’s not. (It really isn’t. I promise)
On a personal note, apart from the traditional architecture and the heaven-on-earth greenery that lights up the entrance which is always a big YESSS for me, one of the things that I really like about the Château élan is the range of activities you can always indulge in throughout the property.
From the cozy spa to the brilliantly cultivated winery & resort, and oh, could I ever forget the serene ambience of the swimming pool? And that’s not even getting us started on the world-class customer service that they offer, the Château élan gives you that added spec of newness in your experience of the place. And that’s a deal-breaker for me.
From top to bottom, the place is magical, full of aesthetic, pleasurable delights that couldn’t be more befitting for a couple like Leah and Nirmal.
The Ceremony
The couple, Leah and Nirmal, aptly chose the stunning landscape and welcoming atmosphere of the prestigious Château élan as the backdrop for kick-starting a new phase in their life. Elegant, Classy, and Fabulous, the significance of the wedding left nothing to imagination especially with the brilliant destination that it was set.
The entire proceeding of the wedding panned out gloriously. No surprise though, especially as the wedding planner, Cathy Taylor’s professional touch was at the epicentre of everything glowy and planned to purposeful perfection. For us, the wedding captured the imagination of what should be a worthy reference point for a modern Indian-themed wedding — culturally abundant (I mean, just look at Nirmal’s turban. Majestic!) yet glowing, with a sprinkle of western sophistication that you would attribute to couples of Leah and Nirmal’s ilk.
The wedding was cast in vibrant colors that bedded in just perfectly with the affectionate atmosphere of people who came from all parts of the world to celebrate with the couple. The wedding aesthetic was brimming with colors like fabulously swanky shades of pink, the ever-sparkling royal blue (for a royal couple. WINKS), Angelica blossom gold attires, and splashes of red everywhere.
These colors also connoted the substance of the grand occasion much to our satisfaction, showing us that not just the big things like having it private-style, but also, the little things like good color choices can make even greater weddings.

When Leah and Nirmal approached us, as you would expect, they understood the essence of the approach to their wedding ceremony and being intentional about it, they wanted a photographer that understood the complexities of making an intimate destination wedding feel unique and boutique, while relating with them on that wavelength of personal connectedness.
They strongly felt we were the go-to for making memories that are an endearing keepsake for their newly-started family, and we lived up to their expectations the only way we know how - our best possible.
